Some of the bands that performed at this place during those great years of NW music were:

BigHorn
Daybreak
Hot Stuff
Jerry Lee Lewis
Kracker
Lion
Orphin Anny
Rail & Company
Randy Hansen's Machinegun
Red Ax
Shyanne
Merrilee and The Turnabouts
The Models
Wakefield (CO)
The West Coast Boys
Weston Davis Group

Others ??

Merillee Rush & the Turnabouts used to play Goofy's quite a bit.  We played there a couple times.  Butch Bockmier had a steak grill where customers could cook their own steaks!  Of course, band members were on that in a minute!

In the early to mid 70’s, just about every NW band with a name played that room including one of my old bands ‘The Weston Davis Group’.

Jerry Lee Lewis played the room in 1975. He used ‘Blind Willie’s’ PA system.  Blind Willie’s manager, Mike Hansen, and myself, ran the soundboard that night.

In about 1976 or 77 Goofy’s in Spokane became Gatsby’s under new ownership. Everybody played Gatsby’s. The club started out country, But went with Rock in 1978.

My band, ‘Kracker’ was the 1st Rock band booked at Gatsby’s. Hot Stuff (Spokane) and The Models played there too.
