Bill Crounse, one of the concert organizers, said, “These concerts are a direct result of last year’s fine record at Owen Beach. Because of the good crowd behavior, we are able to hold them again.” Police officials refused to allow Owen Beach to be used again as a site for the events, opting instead for the enclosed stadium.Up to 6,000 youths attended the rock concerts last summer at Point Defiance, with few reportable incidents.
Entrance to the Lincoln Bowl will be from the G Street gates, with seating in the east grandstands only. The bowl will open at 5 p.m., with the show running from 6 to 8 p.m. (Pierce County Herald , July 1972)

Nearly 6,000 Come To Hear Rock Concert!
By EDD JEFFORDS
Nearly 6,000 persons turned out Monday night to hear Adam Wind and Silver Fox at the summer's third and final rock concert in Lincoln Bowl.
Concert coordinator Bill Crounse, of KTNT-TV, said the crowd was well-behaved during the two-hour event.
The three concerts were sponsored at the bowl this summer by the City of Tacoma, Metropolitan Park Department, Tacoma Musicians Association and KTAC radio.
The concerts, featuring Tacoma groups Quebec, Peaceable Lane, Anthem, Charles & The Entertainers, Adam Wind and Silver Fox, drew a combined attendance of more than 15,000.
Silver Fox, which started the show Tuesday, displayed versatility and range, delighting the audience with a number of “cover” versions of
popular songs. The young band was good musically, but should pay more attention to their stage appearance, which could be tightened up.Formerly known as Morning Sunn, the band has been performing professionally for several months.
Adam Wind turned in a typically fine performance, with a majority of original music. One of their new numbers, “Friends and Lovers,” should be a natural for a single release following the success of “Old Funky Song,’ now in the top 10 on local record charts.
Emcee Bruce Cannon, of KTAC, announced that the group this week signed a recording contract with a major label and soon will produce an album.
