This
is my CMP acquired US Rifle, M1917, Caliber .30. as it came out of the
CMP box. It is a Winchester manufactured M1917 with a beautiful stock,
finish and a majority of WRA parts, except for the RA bolt and Eddystone
Safety. MW is 1 on my CMP gauge. My T.E. gauge can not get
an accurate reading because of the depth of the barrel into the receiver.
Indications are that it is excellent.
The Mar 1918 appears to be the original barrel at its date coincides with the manufacture date of the 214,XXX SN WRA is about March 1918. |
