This is my
1944 Husqvarna manufactured M1938 Swedish Short Rifle. The M1938
Swedish Mauser is in cal 6,5x55mm. The muzzle, bore and throat
are near perfect. The metal finish is also near perfect. The
stock has only a couple minor dings, but is otherwise excellent.
The rifle is completely original with the addition of a 2x LER scope mounted with a B-Square mount. Original rear sights are ready to go back on when needed. The serial number on this weapon was once thought to be the highest number M38 Swede in existence, but that has since been re-evaluated to be one of the last M38's manufactured on the last day of production. The serial number is only a few numbers short of being 705,000. The Swedish Mauser was probably the finest made of all the Mauser rifles and definitely among the most accurate and pleasant to shoot. |
