Edward "Lynn" Ware, Jr.

Edward “Lynn” Ware, Junior; loving father, nationally recognized teacher, jazz musician. 

Edward “Lynn” Ware was born on October 6, 1946 to Edward Lynn Ware Senior and Emma Ware in (CITY, Washington) and raised in Renton, Washington.  Mr. Ware graduated from the University of Washington, in 1970, and went on to pursue a career as a jazz musician playing and touring with many groups locally and internationally including; Cinnamon Soul, Cold, Bold and Together, and Cameo.

In 1979 Mr. Ware began teaching English and Language Arts, over a 25 year career he reached thousands of high school and college aged youth, and was a four time honoree of America’s Whose Who Of Teachers.  He taught at Cornish School of the Arts, North Seattle Community College and at several Seattle area high schools including; Chief Sealth, Garfield, Cleveland and Franklin.   He is dearly departed from loving daughter Tamara Janelle Locke, 32 of Seattle Washington.

Mr. Ware will be best remembered for his unique ability to inspire otherwise disinterested students to become both readers and writers of poetry, drama, and literature.  His four year battle with cancer ended on March 18, 2004 at his home in Renton Washington with his loving daughter by his side. Memorial Service and Reception will be held Friday March 26, 2004 at 3:30 at Franklin High School 3013 S MT BAKER BV. Seattle, WA 98144.  Funeral services will be held at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Renton.  Saturday March 27, 2004 at 1:00 PM.    Mr. Ware was 57 years old.
