Producers Gary Crow and Craig Kelly
are currently in the editing stage of this project. They have enlisted
the services of numerous NW rock artists and historians to accurately weave
this story. The goal is to launch this as a series of vignettes on the
web, and negotiations are being considered right now where that cyber-home
will be located.
This is an impressive list of participants
that include; Paul Revere, The Kingsmen, The Wailers, The Sonics, The Ventures,
The Bards, Merrilee Rush, The Frantics, DJ Pat O'Day, 'Louie, Louie' producer
Jerry Dennon, Kearney Barton, The Frantics, The Statesmen and many more
individuals and artists who are a major part of this exciting musical history.
In all, interviews with over thirty
musicians, producers, managers, DJ's and family members who were willing
to share their story for these documentary vignettes. Because of their
track record in the local music industry, Kelly and Crow were able to gain
the trust of the people that are most important to this story and material
that others have not been able to acquire.
Utilizing a combination of interviews,
recordings, memorabilia, radio air-checks and old performance footage (including
some never seen or heard publicly) the producers have lined up the right
tools to make a dynamic television presentation that will chronicle this
story as never before.
